The Dwight Howard Show

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

This weekend sure was one wild roller coaster ride for our beloved Celtics.  Like the Ohio Players always say, “Your love is like a Rollercoaster baby.  Baby, I wanna ride yeah.”  First they put the world on notice with a gigantic win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.  Then yesterday, that happened.  Dwight Howard happened.  Yesterday, Dwight Howard was faster than a speeding bullet and scored eighteen big points.  Yesterday, Dwight Howard was more powerful than a locomotive and hauled down fifteen big rebounds.  With no KG, there was no answer fo Superman. Not in my house.  Ok, in my house.  Know this Celtis Krishnas and NBA [...]

Celtics Cavs Tonight!

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

This is a big one.  A big fig one.  Ooey gooey, rich and chewy inside.  Golden cakey, tender flakey outside.  Wrap the inside in the outside.  Is it good? Darn tootin’!  It’s the big, Fig Newton.  Darn tootin’ this is a big game.  KG or no KG.  Their Eastern Conference semifinal-round series came down to the final minute of Game Seven.  Given the way the 2008-09 season is shaping up, these two teams seem destined to meet again in the Conference Finals.  Like my main man George McFly always says, “I’m your density.  I mean… your destiny.”  And if destiny [...]

The Truth Prevails

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

Like my main Arthur Conan Doyle always says, ”Whenever you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”  What remained last night was indded the Truth.  What remained last was Paul Pierce.  Last night, Paul Pierce’s go-ahead two with twenty seconds left on the clock, proved to be the winner winner chicken dinner in New Jersey.  Add another chapter to legend that is Paul Pierce.  Another legend, the Legend, once said, “In Boston they always talk about how many championships you’ve won, so I think it’s very important for Paul to win one if he wants to be put up there with the [...]

My Advice To The Celtics

AUTHOR: | IN: Celtics | COMMENTS: None Yet

For what it’s worth, here’s my two cents.  That’s 1/5 of an assist.  That’s gotta be worth something, right.  So here it is.  As tempting as it might be tonight, do not take a big lead.  Ray Ray, just settle down from beyond the arc.  Paul, take it easy in the lane with the and ones.  Rajon, just slow down for a second.  Eddie, when you come off the bench, don’t go all Eddie Houselike.  Silly, you say?  Why would we do such a thing you say?  I’ll tell you why. I’ll tell you The Nets won in Milwaukee last [...]
